The Reto Pelayo Vida is the largest sports initiative aimed at raising awareness about women's cancer prevention on an international level. Its goal is to educate institutions about the importance of research, early detection, and screening. In 2021, five women who had experienced cancer participated in the adventure of a lifetime in its seventh edition: navigating more than 2,500 nautical miles from the port of Vigo, Spain, to the Arctic Circle at the famous parallel 66 North, marking the boundary between the Atlantic Ocean and the Arctic Ocean. This endurance challenge demonstrated that overcoming diseases like cancer is possible.
