Luna Miguel took center stage at the Conde Duque Cultural Center in April 2023. The performance was curated by the visual artist Paola de Diego, with texts written by researcher Alicia Valdés. During the event, titled "The Death of the Reader," Luna attempted to break her own reading record. She allowed herself to be observed by spectators for over 48 hours, engaging in a reading session with minimal breaks for food or rest, and without interacting with anyone. The goal was not simply to see how quickly she could read or how far she could progress through classic literature. "The Death of the Reader" aimed to encourage physical engagement with the pages, to invoke pleasure amidst discomfort, and to explore the delirium that words can sometimes induce in us.
